May 8th, 2015 was a tragic and sad day for diplomatic missions in Pakistan as it witnessed a helicopter crash in Gilgit valley taking precious lives of

  • Wife of Malaysian Abassador Late. Mrs. Habibah Binti Mehmood
  • Wife of Indonesian Ambassador Late Mrs.Heri Listyawati

At time of this National disaster; Embalming, Packing & Sealing Services were offered by Aadil Hospital voluntarily at CMH Rawalpindi. For which our services were highly appreciated by all foreign missions and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. We condole this national tragedy and pray for the families who had to bear the pain for departing from their loved ones and their survivors.

Late H.E. Filipino Ambassador Domingo D. Lucenario, Jr. 

Late H.E. Filipino Ambassador Domingo D. Lucenario, Jr. died on May 8, 2015, from injuries sustained in a Helicopter Crash in Gilgit, Pakistan.

Lucenario was born on Sept. 3, 1960 in Manila, Philippines. In 1984, Lucenario graduated from the San Beda College of Law in Manila and passed the bar to become a lawyer. He is survived by his wife, lawyer Nida Arada Lucenario, and his three children.

Beginning in 1986, he worked in a variety of diplomatic roles at consulates in Germany, Australia, and Hong Kong, according to the website of the Philippine embassy in Islamabad, Pakistan. In August 2009, Lucenario became the Philippines’ ambassador to a number of African countries. Those countries included Kenya, Burundi, Comoros, Republic of Congo, Democratic Republic of Congo, Malawi, Madagascar, Mauritius, Rwanda, Seychelles, Uganda, Somalia, and Tanzania. During that time, he also was his country’s permanent representative to the United Nations Environment Program and the UN Human Settlement Program. 

In March 2013, Lucenario became the Philippine ambassador to Pakistan as well as Afghanistan, Kyrgystan, and Tajikistan. Lucenario received three major presidential awards throughout his career: Order of Sikatuna Award, Order of Lakandula Award, and Gawad Mabini Award. He also received the Isabel La Catolica Award from the Spanish government for improving relations between the Philippines and Spain.

Late Norwegian Ambassador Leif Holger Larsen

Late Norwegian Ambassador Leif Holger Larsen died on May 8, 2015, from injuries sustained in a Helicopter Crash in Gilgit, Pakistan.

He was born in Stavanger, and was a cand.polit. by education. He started working for the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1984. He was a subdirector in the Ministry from 2000, councilor-minister at the Norwegian NATO delegation from 2001 and head of department in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from 2005. In 2009 he was appointed as a head teacher at the Norwegian Defence University College.

In 2011 he started serving in South Asia, first as special representative for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to Afghanistan and Pakistan. He had previously been present during the 2008 Kabul Serena Hotel attack, which claimed the life of a Norwegian journalist, but survived. Larsen served as the Norwegian ambassador to Pakistan from 2014 until he died in a helicopter crash on 8 May 2015 in Gilgit, Pakistan.

Apart from these two Ambassadors, Wife of Malaysian Ambassador Late. Mrs. Habibah Binti Mehmood and wife of Indonesian Ambassador Late Mrs.Heri Listyawati also died in the same Helicopter Crash.
