Who can donate blood?

Ideal age for blood donation is 18 to 45yrs and weight at least 45kg.
The blood donor should not have suffered any recent attack of infection, Jaundice, Typhoid, Malaria, Rubella etc.
If consumed alcohol on past 24 hours should avoid blood donation.
Person should not have undergone major surgery recently.
Pregnant and lactating women should avoid blood donation.
Potential blood donor’s vitals should be stable to ensure Body temperature, blood pressure, Pulse and respiratory rate are normal.
Potential donor should be free from Malarial Parasite, Syphilis, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, HIV, Bleeding disorders and communicable diseases.
